Who Is Steve?

HELPING YOU LIVE MORE LIKE JESUS

I'm Steve Marston, host of The Steve Marston Show, a daily Christian radio show and podcast built around one simple goal: helping you live more like Jesus.

I'm not a pastor or theologian. I'm a regular guy who loves Jesus, loves talking with people, and somehow ended up with a pretty cool job.

My journey into daily Christian radio began in 2024 when I was given the opportunity to host a daily talk show in Little Rock, Arkansas. What started there eventually grew beyond Central Arkansas, and today The Steve Marston Show can be heard on 99.5 The Word in Little Rock and AM 630 The Word in San Antonio, as well as through podcasts, YouTube and online.

But the goal has never been simply to make another Christian radio show.

WHY I DO THIS

I believe following Jesus is about more than simply knowing what Christians believe. It's learning how to actually live it.

How do I become more like Jesus in my marriage? My family? My work? How do I study the Bible for myself? How do I pray when God seems silent? How should a Christian respond to culture? How do I share my faith? And what is the next step God is asking me to take?

Those are the kinds of questions we tackle every day on The Steve Marston Show.

I like to think of the show as a daily journey in Christian discipleship. We dig into Scripture, talk about practical Christian living, wrestle with questions about faith and culture, and have conversations with pastors, authors, ministry leaders and ordinary people through whom God is doing extraordinary things.

And because following Jesus doesn't require us to lose our sense of humor, there's usually some fun along the way—including a steady supply of dad jokes.

A LITTLE ABOUT ME

Faith is at the center of my life, but my first ministry isn't a microphone—it's my family.

My wife and I have been married since 1998, and we have three children, a daughter-in-law and a grandson. I'm originally from Louisiana, which also explains my lifelong loyalty to all things LSU (especially football) .

I've served as a deacon in my local church since 2004, teach a Sunday school class for married adults, and work with college students through Baptist Collegiate Ministry.

Those experiences have shaped the way I approach the show.

I'm interested in theology, but I'm especially interested in what happens after we know the right answer.

What do we do with it?

That's discipleship.

THE STEVE MARSTON SHOW

Every weekday, The Steve Marston Show brings together biblical teaching, Christian discipleship, faith and culture, interviews, encouragement and a little fun.

Some days we're studying a passage of Scripture. Other days I'm talking with a pastor, author, Christian leader or someone with an incredible testimony. We might tackle a difficult question about Christianity, examine something Christians commonly believe that isn't actually in the Bible, or simply talk about what following Jesus looks like Monday morning after church is over.

Different conversations. Same destination:

Helping You Live More Like Jesus.

You can hear The Steve Marston Show on 99.5 The Word in Little Rock, Arkansas, AM 630 The Word in San Antonio, Texas, and wherever you listen to podcasts.

MY HOPE FOR YOU

I'm not interested in building a website where you simply learn more about me.

I want this to be a place where you can find something that helps you take your next step with Jesus.

Maybe that's opening your Bible again.

Maybe it's praying more intentionally.

Maybe it's forgiving someone.

Maybe it's sharing your faith.

Maybe it's trusting God through something you don't understand.

Whatever that next step is, I hope something you hear, watch or read here encourages you to take it.

I'm Steve Marston.

I'm just a regular guy with a cool job that God loves for some reason.

And I'd be honored to have you join me on this daily journey of learning how to live more like Jesus.
