What does your calendar reveal about what matters most to you?
Jason Curry, pastor, speaker, and author of Finish Empty, joins The Steve Marston Show for a practical conversation about intentional living, spiritual growth, priorities, and making the most of the time God has given us.
Jason explains why responsibilities and priorities aren't always the same thing. Nobody may force you to spend time with God, invest in your marriage, rest, read Scripture, attend Bible study, or intentionally grow—but those are often the very things that shape the person you're becoming.
Drawing from Ephesians 5:15–17, Steve and Jason discuss why we don't simply “drift” into a deeper relationship with Christ. Spiritual growth requires intentionality, and sometimes that means literally putting the things that matter most on the calendar and guarding that time.
They also explore an important distinction about grace: we don't pursue obedience and spiritual maturity so God will love us—we pursue them because He already does.
Jason also shares how Finish Empty has opened unexpected opportunities to work with schools, educators, athletic programs, and organizations, and explains the central challenge behind the book: closing the distance between “I'm glad I did” and “I wish I had.”
It's a conversation about redeeming the time, protecting what matters, resisting distraction, and living today in a way you won't regret tomorrow.
