Christian recording artist Nicole Lauren joins The Steve Marston Show to share how an unexpected opportunity turned singing on her church worship team into a brand-new career in Christian music. What began with a simple willingness to say, “God, use me,” eventually led to a record deal, songwriting, recording, and a growing ministry through music. Nicole talks about learning to write songs from scratch, trusting the Holy Spirit through the creative process, and viewing her gifts, marriage, and motherhood through the lens of biblical stewardship. She also shares how Scripture, sermons, and prayer inspire her songwriting. The conversation also gets personal as Nicole shares her testimony of walking with Jesus through difficult seasons and discovering His faithfulness in a deeper way. Those experiences connect directly with her new single, “My Good Shepherd,” inspired by Luke 15 and the picture of the shepherd who pursues the one lost sheep. Nicole also previews another upcoming song, “The Battle,” a call for believers to remain grounded in the Word of God, share the Gospel, and live ready for Christ's return. It’s a conversation about calling, obedience, trusting God when the path changes, and using what He has given you for His glory—all part of helping you live more like Jesus.
