Robert Jeffress: Why Christians Shouldn’t Be Afraid of Revelation

Dr. Robert Jeffress joins The Steve Marston Show to talk about his book The Final Conquest and why the book of Revelation shouldn’t confuse or frighten Christians.

Jeffress, longtime pastor of First Baptist Church Dallas and Bible teacher on Pathway to Victory, explains that Revelation is ultimately not about fear—it’s about Jesus Christ, His return, and the final victory believers have in Him. He discusses why Christians shouldn’t obsess over predicting when Christ will return, but should instead focus on being ready and living faithfully in light of His coming.

Steve and Dr. Jeffress also tackle why Revelation can seem so difficult to understand, how to approach its signs and symbols, and why biblical prophecy is important for understanding the larger story of Scripture. Jeffress argues that the message of Christ’s return runs throughout both the Old and New Testaments and is essential to understanding God’s ultimate plan.

Plus, Jeffress previews Divine Invasions, his upcoming teaching on miracles and whether God still works supernaturally in the lives of His people today.

If the book of Revelation has ever seemed intimidating, mysterious, or impossible to understand, this conversation offers an encouraging reminder: Jesus is coming again, evil will not have the final word, and Christians have every reason to live with hope.
